STYLE:
  • Non-contact, capacitance technology based sensor.
  • Responds quickly to changes in target distance without the errors associated with mechanical linkages, drift-prone electro-mechanical devices, or contact based float systems.
SENSOR CONSTRUCTION:
  • Stainless steel housing
  • internal ceramic insulating stabilizers
  • G-10 mounting insulator/spacer
  • CONTAINS NO MOVING PARTS.
CABLE AND CONNECTOR CONSTRUCTION:
  • Mil-spec connector with TFE insulated cable: rated at 200 degrees Celsius, 600 Volts
CALIBRATION STANDARD:
  • Straight line correlation coefficient better than 0.999960 over 0.5in-6.0in (12mm-152.4mm) range.
SENSING RANGE:
  • 0.25inches to 8.0inches (6mm-203.2mm)
RESOLUTION:
  • 0.0025inches (0.0635mm)
ACCURACY:
  • within 0.5% of sensing range but can be improved over tighter operating range.
REPEATABILITY:
  • 0.05% typical
TARGET TEMPERATURE:
  • <1500 degrees farenheit (815 degrees Celsius)
OPERATING TEMPERATURE:
  • 350 degrees fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) ambient temperature
  • Internal temperature feedback measurement also provided.
  • A fitting is provided for air/gas cooling where needed.
  • Internal Sensor temperature should be kept below 150 degrees fahrenheit (65.5 degrees Celsius) with air/gas cooling during operation.

NOTE: Specified accuracy and linearity is typical under factory calibrated conditions. Absolute accuracy is highly dependent on mounting conditions and objects close to the sensor that may degrade linearity. Consult factory for additional information.
