Düsseldorf, Germany, 6 October 2026 — Precimeter just unveiled LynCor at ALUMINIUM 2026.
This is our new hardware and software platform for automated molten metal level control. Along with the platform we unveiled the first product in the series, LynCor ProH laser camera sensor. Together the platform and the laser camera sensor marks the next step in our development of more connected, reliable and efficient casthouse automation.
Laser camera sensors have been at the core of our business since 1995. Over three decades, we have seen how heat, slag, metal splashes and limited process visibility challenge casting operations. When maintenance interrupts production or a process issue leaves no recorded evidence, the consequences extend beyond the sensor itself.
LynCor brings measurement, connectivity and diagnostics together to help casthouses address those challenges.
LynCor combines hardware and software in a common platform for molten metal level measurement and control. It provides a shared foundation for our next generation of products, making configuration, monitoring and diagnostics a more integrated part of casthouse automation.
The platform is designed to bring measurement and control closer together, with more efficient hardware, simpler configuration interfaces and reduced cooling needs. For casthouses, the ambition is safer operation, more consistent casting and more efficient use of resources.
“The launch of LynCor is a major step forward for Precimeter. It builds on three decades of experience and gives us a strong foundation for our next generation of molten metal level control automation.”
Ivan Dejanovic, CEO
The LynCor ProH is our first product built on the LynCor platform. It is a laser camera sensor for precise, non-contact molten metal level measurement. Up to two lasers provide reliable measurements, while integrated cooling and cleaning protect the sensor against heat, dust and interference.
“LynCor ProH brings reliable level measurement, greater process visibility and flexible configuration together in one platform, helping casthouses simplify maintenance and reduce production stops.”
Jonatan Lindstrand, Global Sales Director
The modular design offers multiple combinations of clearing distance, measuring range and laser camera configuration. This means that there is a sensor for every application and installation condition. Built-in angle monitoring and advanced diagnostics provide insight into sensor status, installation and condition.
A built-in web interface gives operators access to live camera streaming, calibration and health status without installing additional software or hardware. Firmware can be updated in the field, while camera frames and measurements are stored on the sensor. The software enables recording with advanced triggering options, with browser replay and export available for troubleshooting and post-cast analysis.
“With LynCor ProH, we’ve brought modular design, live camera streaming and advanced diagnostics together in one powerful sensor. Process recording and the option of dual laser setups for measurement redundancy open up new possibilities for casthouse automation.”
Martin Lundh, Technical Manager
For the future of casthouse automation, this means greater visibility into both the casting process and the equipment monitoring it. Access to live images, sensor diagnostics and recorded events can help teams identify developing issues, investigate interruptions and make better-informed maintenance decisions.
With LynCor, we are laying the foundation for continued development across our molten metal measurement and control offering, with connectivity and process insight built in from the start.
Pilot installations are already underway, and we are inviting selected additional customers to participate. The next steps include site assessments covering the application, mounting conditions and control system integration. Commercial launch is planned for early 2027 and we look forward to working with our close partners in early roll out of LynCor products.
