Laser Camera Sensors

ProH TwinDelta

This dual sensor enables you to measure the molten metal level in a mould related to a second measuring reference point (Slab/ingot mould top/edge).

Optimal measurement

Two lasers; reading level and reference point

Cooling system

Keeping functionality in heavy steam and smoke

Stable performance

Designed for harsh and shifting environments

Accurate measurement

Measures difference between edge of mouls and metal surface

ProH TwinDelta

Absolute correction with maintained calibration

The Laser Camera Sensor model ProH from Precimeter combines high performance laser triangulation with the necessary control functions to maintain an accurate molten metal level measurement. The digital camera technology in the Precimeter sensors results in very high performance and resolution. The advanced technology enables stable readings even when the molten metal material reflectivity changes dramatically and/or in harsh conditions with heavy steam and smoke environment.

The built in PI controller eliminates the need for an external industrial controller. The ProH TwinDelta sensor is, amongst other applications, very suitable in slab casting applications for mould level control. Principle The sensor measures the difference between the edge of the mold and the molten metal surface. This means that the calibration is maintained and the level of the molten metal is absolute correct.
